Biospain 2021 will be structured in:

  • Virtual exhibition from the 27th September to the 1st October, a virtual wide-ranging exhibition which will provide a visual focus and interaction with the sessions.
  • Online partnering system partneringONE®, from the 27th September to the 1st October , one-to-one meetings which is the most efficient way to find and meet the right people for your company’s collaborative aims.
  • Program sessions in a hybrid format, from the 29th September to the 1st October. Sessions will take place in Pamplona-Iruña (Baluarte) and will be streamed through the virtual platform for those attendees who cannot attend in person.

Registration will give access to participants to the virtual platform (exhibition, partnering, and program sessions). Attending program sessions in person will be limited depending on the Government restrictions at the end of September due to Covid-19.

The largest biotech event country based event in Europe

BIOSPAIN is the largest biotech event organized by a national bioindustry association in Europe and one of the largest in the world by the number of one-to-one meetings (+3.300) and companies participating (+773). 34% of our delegates came from outside of Spain.

Why Spain?

In 2018 there were 751 dedicated biotechnology enterprises in Spain (+5,33%), according to data in the AseBio Report 2019.
Biotech companies have generated more than €8.2 billion in income, roughly 0.7% of the national total.
The biotechnology sector was responsible for more than 105,000 direct, indirect and induced jobs, which is 0.6% of national employment. Over 27,000 of these jobs were people employed directly by biotech companies.
Biotechnology activities are at the top of rankings on production growth of economic activities for 2018, up 10.1%.”
